The Cuyuna Lakes Area
The Cuyuna Lakes region of North Central Minnesota is largely comprised by the communities of Crosby, Ironton, Deerwood, Cuyuna, Riverton and Trommald. We draw pickleball players from the surrounding communities of Brainerd, Crosslake, Aitkin, Staples, Motley, Garrison, and beyond.
What was once an iron mining region of Minnesota has now evolved into a beautiful forested area with both natural and crystal clear mine lakes. It is now the home of the world famous Cuyuna Mountain Biking Trails within the 5200 acre Recreation Area bordering Crosby and Ironton.
In conjunction with the City of Ironton, Minnesota, the Cuyuna Lakes Pickleball Association (CLPA – 501c3) raised $175,000 and successfully built a new six court dedicated pickleball center constructed in 2022.
Our group of enthusiastic pickleballers played at the Crosby-Ironton High School tennis court since 2018. The growth of the sport necessitated we develop our own center to accommodate the increasing interest and participation in our region.
The new pickleball center is located at the corner of 3rd St and Winona Ave in Ironton.
To participate in organized league play, you must be a member of the CLPA – JOIN NOW.
